If you have not participated before\, please see the details below so you'll have an understanding of what the day looks like.\n\n\n\nMany thanks for keeping this meaningful Beverly tradition going for our school community.\n\n\n\nFeel free to forward to friends\, family\, and colleagues!  \n\n \n\nBest\,\n\n\n\nCindy Dubin\n\nCareer Education Coordinator\n\n----------------------------------------------------------------------------\n\nGeneral Format:  This is a conference style day\, featuring 125+ professionals speaking in sessions across campus from 9 am to 12 pm. \n\n \n\nNumber of Sessions:  There are three 50-minutes sessions. You can sign up to speak for as many of the three slots as will fit in your schedule.  \n\n \n\nWhen Schedule is Set:  Once our students sign up for sessions\, we will make a final determination about how many sessions we will offer per area. This is usually about two weeks prior to the event.\n\n \n\nHow Many Speakers Per Session:  When possible\, we feature different types of careers within professions so often times there are 2-4 speakers per session. This panel approach provides our students with a wider range of perspectives\, experiences\, and advice.  We always let speakers know when they are going to be joined by others\, so they can plan accordingly.  For example\, our "Healthcare" sessions might feature a pharmacist\, physician\, nurse\, PA\, etc.  Our "Legal" sessions might feature lawyers\, paralegals\, court reporters\, etc. \n\n \n\nDescription of Content:  We love informal discussions about how and why speakers ended up doing what they are doing\, as well as advice about what skills/talents would be a good match for a successful career in the speaker's particular field. This approach tends to be both informative and inspirational.\n\n \n\nBreakfast and Lunch: One lovely component of this day is that both a Continental Breakfast (during Speaker Registration) and Buffet Lunch (following the last session) are provided by our award-winning culinary students. \n\n \n\nFeel free to contact me if you have any questions!
