He is a Beverly Hills tax and business attorney\, specializing in planning\, transactions and litigation. Through his practice and studies\, he has developed an intimate understanding of finance\, investing and accounting.\n\nHoward has presented more than a hundred lectures on tax and business subjects throughout the world and authored dozens of articles.\n\nHe is a graduate of Beverly Hills High School (class of 1969) and past chair of the Planning and Public Works Commissions. He is a graduate of Team Beverly Hills and C.E.R.T.\; served on the board of the Southwest Homeowners Association\; as a Cub Scout leader of B.H. Troop 100\; a board member of Temple Emanuel\; and President of the Beverly Hills Bar Association in 2017.\n\nHe studied at the American College in Paris and is a graduate of the University of Southern California. He received his J.D. from Southwestern University\, an LL.B with honors from the University of Cambridge in England\, and engaged in post-graduate studies at Harvard University Law School (PIL).\n\nHe has been married to Francine since 1976. She is a dental hygienist who has worked in Beverly Hills for near 44 years. His sons are graduates of Beverly Vista and Beverly Hills High School. His son Alexander attended the University of Michigan\, received his J.D. and M.B.A. from Emory University\, and is an attorney practicing with Howard. His son Merrick\, an honors graduate from Boston University\, in hospitality\, and is now a celebrity nail designer and blogger\, who lives in Beverly Hills.
