SUMMARY:Webinar: How to Crowdfund Better
DESCRIPTION:**Please note\, this webinar will take place using the Zoom. Please be sure to have Zoom downloaded on your computer or mobile device prior to the meeting.**\n\n\n\nThe Chamber is hosting a webinar in partnership with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at El Camino College. \n\n\n\nHow to Crowdfund Better!\n\n\n\nCrowdfunding is often considered a tool for startups to get their businesses off the ground\, but one of its unsung values is its ability to strengthen relationships with existing customers and to test the market for new products and services. With customer needs and desires changing rapidly during COVID-19\, crowdfunding provides a way for businesses to test new ideas and get customer feedback while raising the capital they need to put those ideas into action. The non-financial assets created through crowdfunding also help businesses generate revenue long after their crowdfunding campaign closes. Join us for a presentation on the crowdfunding fundamentals\, the different types of crowdfunding\, and the keys to crowdfunding success.\n\n\n\nSpeaker Bio:\n\nKathleen Minogue\, Founder & CEO\, Crowdfund Better\n\nKathleen Minogue is a crowdfunding educator and ecosystem builder. In 2012\, she founded Crowdfund Better to help entrepreneurs unlock the support of their networks to fund projects not supported by traditional finance. Kathleen has coached successful donation\, rewards and investment crowdfunding campaigns and is particularly focused on bringing the crowdfunding opportunity to women\, minority and rural entrepreneurs. She has been featured in The Wall Street Journal and Forbes\, presented at the Crowd Invest Summit and Global Crowdfunding Convention\, and contributed to access-to-capital initiatives including PwC Women Unbound report\, Milken Institute/SBA Partnership for Lending in Underserved Markets and Crowdfund Idaho.
