Discussion Topic: The Value of a Story, A Brand Check-up.

People act according to the stories they believe to be true. It is immaterial whether they are true; but if we believe them to be true, we will act accordingly. Yuval Harari says that the ability to create stories has enabled the human species to develop and organize itself. Throughout history they have been used to inspire and unite and to divide and kill. We have seen that they possess the power to heal, help, or harm.

Whether you lead a non-profit service organization or a for profit business, your company's story probably has the potential to animate your workforce, attract customers, and position you favorably in the market, more favorably than it is now. In this session we will consider ways to tell if your brand narrative is clear and animating or muddled and lethargic.
