Kelly O. Scott, Esq., head of ECJ's Employment Law Department, has been a practicing attorney for more than 30 years. His experience includes representing employers in all types of employment matters, including class actions, wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour claims as well as training for compliance with various employment laws. He is well-versed in pre-employment investigations and background checks, and is frequently active in the interviewing and review process for hiring, terminating and improving the performance of employees. He is a published author and frequent speaker on employment law matters. He has also been quoted by news organizations such as CNN Entertainment, the Los Angeles Daily Journal, the Associated Press, Thomson Reuters, and E! News. Southern California Super Lawyers® has recognized Mr. Scott every year since 2005, and was recently recognized by Best Lawyers in America. He maintains a Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating of AV Preeminent. He has been an adjunct professor at Azusa Pacific University and has served as Chairman of the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
