The Chamber is hosting a webinar in partnership with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at El Camino College. Hear from Thomas M. Gaffney a leader and pioneer in the legal blockchain world. Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies have taken center stage in recent years for good reason. Blockchain, the fundamental technology underlying every single crypto currency, is a revolutionary technology that has completely disrupted the financial ecosystem and the internet by solving what is known as “The Double Spend Problem.” Although there are several positive and groundbreaking feats that the crypto industry is pioneering, there are several negative impacts and dangers involved with the industry, as it is still in its infancy. During this Webinar you will learn: the fundamentals of crypto currencies and blockchain; how to get your foot in the door and start investing in and interacting with crypto currencies, web3, the metaverse and NFTs; the pros and cons of utilizing crypto currencies in your business; where blockchain and cryptos are going in the future; and have your questions answered on how you can get involved in this upcoming and exciting industry.

Thomas currently represents clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to startup companies just getting off of the ground. He comes from humble beginnings and was born to the daughter of dairy farmers upstate, New York, and received a BA from Pennsylvania State University in 2012. Mr. Gaffney received his JD from the Wake Forest University School of Law in 2017. At Wake Forest he founded and pioneered the Wake Forest University School of Law and the University of International Business and Economics, Beijing, China student exchange program.  Thomas spent six months living and working in Beijing as a Cross-Border Mergers and Acquisitions Associate at the leading Chinese Law Firm, King and Wood Mallesons.
